Dateline Watertown November 30

One week to takeoff.
It's been an adventure.
Both of us have had cataract surgery and are "looking forward" to this trip.
We've booked our shore excursions and obtained our reading material.
For me, that meant 8 books, but I did read The Good, Good Pig and gave the corpse to my niece to enjoy as much as I did.
I'm still uncertain about the wardrobe, but am assuming the one black suit and general casual clothes ought to carry me through. I read that even though we'll be pretty far south of Boston, and the countries we'll visit should be pretty hot and humid, shipboard will probably be chilly-ish. So I could bring one of everything to keep comfy.

Today I contacted my bank to let them know where to expect charges to come from, and arranged the international phone plan with Verizon. Hopefully there won't be glitches as there were when we ended up paying almost $400 for a phone for a week in Paris a few years ago.
Now that the boring stuff is behind us- watch this space for more as things proceed
